Grey Gables

A contemporary extension to a 1960’s detached house. Set in a quiet, leafy suburb bordering the New Forest, the project site is a generous corner plot set in the centre of the Conservation Area.

The existing layout was split into a series of separate spaces. The brief was to reorder the internal layout and provide an open plan kitchen, living, dining space and a connected external terrace that felt like part of the space. The floor to ceiling glazing and central skylight afford views of the night sky from the dining space and kitchen area.

The clients have gained a fantastic space on a tight budget, they have done this in part by project managing it themselves with my on-site support.
